Jewish Converts Banned from Evangelical-Lutheran Churches in Thüringen

In Thüringen, the Evangelical-Lutheran Church forbids Jewish converts to Protestant Christianity from using the churches anymore.

This measure follows from the German Christian belief, popular within the Evangelical-Lutheran Church, that converting from Judaism to Christianity does not in any way cause a person to cease being Jewish. This is because "Jewish" is regarded as a racial label, not a religious affiliation.
