Jews Banned From Joining Italy's Fascist Party Hot

Italy's Fascist Party bans Jews from joining. This is a significant change in fascist policy under Mussolini which is only made to please Adolf Hitler and the Nazis in Germany.

Up until this point Jews were free to join the fascists; in fact, a significant minority of Jews in Italy supported Benito Mussolini and his fascist ideology - at least 10,000 by some estimates.

This and other anti-Semitic policies aren't greeted very warmly by Italians generally or even other fascists because there isn't a strong anti-Semitic tradition in Italy. These new antisemitic policies are perceived more as a cultural or political imposition from Germany rather than as a necessary or logical development from fascism.
