While living in Copenhagen Werner Heisenberg develops his famous Uncertainty Principle. On this date, he writes a letter to fellow physicist Wolfgang Pauli to describe it. This is the first time that a description of the Uncertainty Principle is written down and Heisenberg labels it "Ungenauigkeit" (imprecision).
