Elva Zona Heaster is founddead in Greenbrier, West Virginia. The cause of Elva Zona Heaster's death is unclear, but while her initial cause of death is believed to be natural, her family comes to the conclusion that she was murdered.

After the funeral, her mother reports seeing her ghost, telling her that her husband Erasmus Stribbling Trout Shue had beaten her and broken her neck.

Heaster's body will be exhumed and an autopsy determined that her neck had indeed been broken. Erasmus Stribbling Trout Shue is arrested, tried, and found guilty - all ultimately due to the alleged testimony of the 'Greenbrier Ghost' of Elva Zona Heaster.
