Saladin Launches Attack on Jerusalem After Five Days of Scouting Hot

After five days of scouting the city and the immediate surrounding area, Saladin launches his assault to retake Jerusalem from the Christian occupiers.

When Balian of Ibelin took command of the city's defenses, there were a grand total of three knights — including himself. He creates sixty new knights and every male Christian had been given a weapon, whether they knew how to fight or not.

The Christian citizens of Jerusalem will rely on a miracle to save them because they know that their military situation is hopeless.
