Bishop Theophil Wurm is Suspended by Reichbishop Ludwig Müller

Reichbishop Ludwig Müller announces the suspension of Bishop Theophil Wurm of Württemberg on charges of misusing church funds. Bishop Wurm has also been one of the leading dissenters from the changes Müller has been making in the Evangelical-Lutheran church.

A pastor from Ebingen named Kruass is appointed to replace Bishop Wurm. Earlier this week a commissioner named Walzer was appointed to further investigate the charges leveled against Bishop Wurm and several members of the church administration have already been fired.

In a few days Bishop Wurm will be arrested by the civil authorities because he refuses to step aside or recognize the authority of Reichbishop Müller to remove him.
