Nazi Pastors Want Hans Meiser Replaced as Bishop in Bavaria

A group of Lutheran pastors demand the immediate removal of Bishop Hans Meiser from the Evangelical-Lutheran Church of Bavaria because of his failure to fully embrace Adolf Hitler's policies.

A statement released to the press by the South German Federation of Evangelical Christians says:

"Bishop Mesier pledged loyalty last January to Adolf Hitler. Three months later he broke this pledge.

He has been proved a faithless, perfidious traitor to Hitler and the Third Reich. A Judas. He has committed treason against the German people.

The patience of the Evangelical population is exhausted. The people will take the protection of their church into their own hands."
