Wilhelm Fischer, Nazi Kreisleiter in Stuttgart and member of the Reichstag, writes an article entitled "The State Enemy" attacking Political Catholicism.

Fischer writes:

"If in the sum of movements hostile to the State one ascertains a factor that is the largest and most active, its name is political Catholicism.

Political Catholicism is nourished from Centrist sources and is the best organized, the best thought through, the most skilled in its choice of methods and by its whole nature the most totalitarian enemy of the National Socialist State.

It is in Germany the state enemy."
