Adolf Hitler delivers a speech in Nuremberg attacking Bolshevism. On this same day, Pope Pius XI meets in the Vatican with a group of anti-communist refugees from the Spanish Civil War.

This coincidence is perceived by many as a sign that both Catholicism and Nationalism Socialism are ultimately working against a common enemy and therefore need to learn how to work more closely with each other.
