German Government Seizes all Radio Receivers From Jews

The German government seizes all radio receivers from Jews and forbids them from obtaining more. This ban also applies to any Aryans who live in buildings where many Jews also live as well as Mischlinge, or people with one Jewish parent.

The Nazi government in Germany has been tightening restrictions on sources of information for all Germans ever since the invasion of Poland. At the beginning of September, for example, the decree "Ordinance on Extraordinary Radio Measures" banned Germans from listening to and disseminating information from any foreign radio stations as an offense against national security.

Initially the punishment for listening to foreign radio broadcasts is a prison term; in 1941 the punishment is changed to death.
